Creative Folkestone Book Festival: The Shape of Things to Come took place from Friday 18 - Sunday 27 November 2022. I developed the identity for the Festival starting from June of the same year. Designed elements included a 26 page event programme, digital assets, wayfinding and stage design. The design system is based off of the core themes of the Festival; connecting people, balancing and contrasting opinions, and stretching the truth. The stretched type plays on these ideas and the animated shapes each represent one core value.
I designed the print, wayfinding, marketing materials and social assets. To strenghten the identity, I worked closely with a motion and sound designer to inject energy into the Festival through movement and sound.
